About the Tour
The Tulum and Cobá excursion will immerse you in the heart of Mayan culture and the natural beauty of the Riviera Maya.
Your journey begins by exploring the ruins of Tulum, the archaeological site that marked the first contact of Spanish conquistadors with the Mayan civilization in the 16th century. Marvel at the ancient structures rising beside the Caribbean Sea and enjoy the nearby beaches as you delve into the history of this seaside Mayan enclave.
Following the tour of the archaeological zone, we'll snorkel in the Tulum reef, just off Playa Paraíso. Later, we'll savor a regional meal at the Wayak cenote restaurant. After lunch, we'll head further inland of the Riviera Maya to visit Cobá, a unique archaeological site you'll explore with a certified guide. At the start of the tour, you'll receive a fascinating explanation of Cobá's history and architecture. Then, you'll have the freedom to explore the archaeological find on your own, and if you wish, you can rent a bike or tricycle to navigate the area at your own pace.
Before returning to your hotel, we'll make one last stop at a nearby Mayan village, where you'll have the opportunity to participate in a special ritual led by a local shaman. Immerse yourself in the spirituality and tradition of Mayan culture as you experience this unique encounter.
*Please note that for safety reasons, climbing the Cobá pyramid has not been permitted since 2020.
